Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012!!

2011 has been nothing short of amazing for me. I have accomplished a lot of goals this year, some that I didn't even know were on my list. I had the honor and privilege to meet and work with some of the most amazing photographers, who I love and admire and have formed a close relationship. How awesome is it to meet your idol and be friends with them... I think its so AWESOME!!! I learned so much this year and have grown not only in my photography but also as a person. My love for photography has transformed into something far beyond my expectations and I can't wait to see what 2012 has in store for me :)

I also had some amazing clients this year who's love and support means the world to me. I love and care for each and everyone of my clients and I can't thank them enough. To the parents, who let me document their little ones precious moments, thank you for letting me be part of such an amazing time in your life. I feel so blessed that you chose me. To all the brides and grooms, whether I was shooting or assisting, thank you for allowing me to be part of your big day. I got to see and share lots of memorable events on a wedding day and I wouldn't have it any other way :) Your amazingness reminds me why I do what I do.

Last but definitely not the least, Thank you to my amazing husband and my equally amazing daughter {yes she is my mini cheerleader, so she gets a shout out too :)} Without their love and support I might not have made it this far. The same goes for my family and friends who have supported me and helped me with my dream, listened to me and provided me with helpful advice. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This year was filled with tears, fears (hey I rhymed!!) making changes, taking chances, growth, joy, laughter and a whole lotta warmth. I love and appreciate all the opportunities I got this year and I can't wait to continue working with some amazing people.

Goodbye 2011, you have been good to me :) HELLLLOOOOOOOO 2012!!!!!!

5 Years in the Making | A Belated Anniversary Story

It’s been 5 years, 5 very long years ( I am pretty sure that’s how he feels). In these past 5 years we have struggled through what every married couple struggles through. To this day I don’t understand why he wants to be Mr. organized when he can’t find anything after and while I might be a hot mess and hoard practically everything I see, but can find anything and give those search dogs and their detecting nose a run for their money or join forces with them, whichever is easier :) But these 5 years have been an adventure and I look forward to many more years with the love of my life.
I wanted to take this moment to be a little sappy and thank my incredible husband for making me high maintenance (yep, I blame him because he spoils me and I love him for that), for giving me the best thing in my life (after him of course) my love, my other best friend, my baby Kenzie. And last but definitely not the least for being my anchor, my sound-board, my support, my love. I feel so blessed to have him in my life. For our anniversary we took a mini excursion to San Francisco to explore basically the goodness that I am lucky to call my backyard (almost!!!) It only seemed appropriate to celebrate it in the city since we had our first date in the city. Here’s to living, loving and laughing through life’s many given moments with my Best Friend.

Almost like waking up...

It seems like forever since I last blogged.... ok it has been a while. I took a brief hiatus from blogging to make up for some very much needed family time. Although this doesn't seem like a good excuse we did accomplish a lot. A trip to disneyland during thanksgiving, our Anniversary, Christmas shopping (we are 83.5% done and no I am not making that number up) and decorating our house for Christmas.... ok fine just the Christmas tree is up, but hey that is better than last year :) So while I shuffle my way out of this hiatus here are few pics I found of Kenzie who just woke up from her own brief nap to represent my current state of mind and body (look at me trying to be all zen master with my state of mind).... she makes disheveled look so good.

Maybe she is eager to say what I would blog about. Are you?.....
